Axia is organized into project teams led by managing professionals who oversee junior staff and freelance talent. Each team is assembled for specific regional assignments. Axia Creative operates as a predominantly virtual office which allows us to maintain responsive access across the  US, Canada and the Caribbean.


Todd Mayfield

Todd Mayfield - Group Creative Director

Todd Mayfield is the founder, Principal and Group Creative Director. He oversees design, strategy and Axia Marketing. He is the key lead for Southeastern US and Caribbean projects. Todd has over 33 years of design experience in wayfinding, branding and advertising. He is also accomplished in the fine arts and illustration.


Todd has earned numerous awards for design excellence and profound respect among his peers. His work has been featured in various industry magazines and books such as Print, Signs of the Times and American Corporate Identity.

Marilyn Mayfield - Chief Financial Officer

Marilyn is co-founder Principal and CFO. She manages all financial aspects of the group. She also serves as a liaison to our Caribbean market.  She has a strong background in accounting and personnel management for companies such as Sony Music in New York where she served eight years as Accounting Manager. There, she interfaced with vendors, talent and upper management. In Atlanta, she was an Accountant for Coca-Cola's Legal Division.

Stephen Sinclaire - Group Project Director

Stephen is a principal of Axia Creative in Calgary and leads Canadian projects. In his 25 year career, he has become highly recognized for his advanced skills in wayfinding and experiential graphic design. His meticulous attention to detail, advanced knowledge of production and diplomatic demeanor is evident in his successful project history and long list of satisfied clients.


Stephen manages each project’s design implementation and realization to maintain the highest quality.


David Giambrone - Brand Strategist & Art Director

David is Axia's West Coast representative. He is an award-winning designer with an emphasis in branding and brand integration. He serves as Axia's critical voice when infusing brands into wayfinding programs and experiential environments.


David is one of those rare designers who excels in many mediums - a true renaissance man of visual communications. His balance of right/left brain thinking is a highly valued Axia commodity.



Michael Haug - Project Manager / Designer

Michael is an exceptional wayfinding designer and project manager with a strong portfolio of sophisticated experiential design, corporate signage and community wayfinding. He serves as Axia's Northeastern representative and project manager.


 Mike has a strong background in branding and graphic design and understands how to infuse a company’s brand into the environment to create a memorable experience.


Lara Sawczak - Production Manager / Graphic Designer

Lara provides graphic design support, manages print-ready art and coordinates production. She contributes concepts and participates in creative brainstorming sessions. She assists with document preparation and presentation formatting.


She has extensive schooling and two degrees in graphic design. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Design, while at Middlesex University, London, England. She attended Central Saint Martins School of Art, in London, England where she earned a Certificate of Graphic Design.


Pablo Fassari - Digital Media Expert

Pablo provides design and development for Axia's web media projects. He advises on the synchronization of digital components within branding programs . He executes and manages web advertising campaigns and advises on SEO, social media and email marketing. He assembles development teams to provide brand supportive solutions for our client's on-line programs.

Bill Baker - Destination Brand and Tourism Marketing Consultant

Bill Baker has been a long time consulting associate with Axia. As the Chief Strategist for Total Destination Marketing in Portland, Oregon, Bill is  internationally acclaimed for his innovative and pragmatic approach to branding places of all sizes, from nations to small cities. He is a widely-respected industry thought-leader and practitioner with more than 30 years destination branding and marketing experience in 25 countries.


His depth of experience and techniques enable him to join the dots in the most unexpected ways to reveal potent brands and tourism opportunities that others may overlook.
